| This is the original orchid propagation medium as published by L. Knudson |
| in the American Orchid Society Bulletin 14, page 443-445, 1946. Though |
| the medium lacks important organic components like vitamins and |
| or vegetable products as well as active compounds like vitamins etc., it |
| is still an effective germination medium for a wide range of easy to propagate |
| orchid species and hybrids. For better performance and wider range of |
| application modern modifications of this medium are recommended. |
