This is the original mix of vitamins, glycine and myo-inositol as |
published by P.R. White 1963 in a paper where he recommended |
to filter sterilize the vitamins and glycine and add them to the |
medium after autoclaving. For this procedure a 1% stock solution |
has to be prepared by dissolving 1.027 g in 10 ml hot water or |
10.27 g in 100 ml hot water. 1 ml of this stock solution has to |
be added per liter medium. Remaining stock solution can be stored |
for a few weeks in a refrigerator, but myo-inositol might precipitate |
and the crystals have to be re-dissolved by heating up the stock |
solution. Mind water loss during heating! |
|
This vitamin mix is provided as a powder and should be used |
in powder form to insure maximum shelf life. This product is only |
for use in plant tissue culture! |
