| GD-Thomale full-strength is a good medium for many easy germinating |
| Paphiopedilums and at half strength useful for many terrestrial orchids, |
| including cypripediums. The medium mix needs to be enriched with sugar |
| and a gelling agent for being used as an orchid medium. For best |
| performance adding complex additives like peptone and coconut |
| water, pinapple juice or potato is recommended. Note: The content of |
| iron salt without chelating agent is sufficient for germination purposes, |
| but for replating to add chelating agent or additional chelated iron is |
| recommended. Medium mix does not contain NAA ('Wuchsstoff 66-f'). |
